Snow Performance 20002 - Snow Performance Gasoline Boost Coolers

Snow Performance 20002 - Snow Performance Gasoline Boost Coolers

Complete Kits Featuring Proven Components & Lifetime Warranty

The main function of water/methanol injection is to provide chemical intercooling. Detonation is suppressed so that more power-producing boost and timing can be utilized. Water, with its high latent heat of vaporization, cools the intake charge and combustion. Methanol also cools while acting as a very high octane fuel (some researchers claim as high as 120 octane) and adds more oxygen to combustion. Click More Info below for each kit's contents.

Forced Induction Engines (860-20001, 860-20010, 860-20011)
With turbo or supercharged applications, injection comes on at a preset psi and immediately begins cooling & condensing the intake charge and suppressing detonation. Injection increases as boost increases until maximum boost is reached. Tuning for this more effective octane and allowing for such high boost typically improves horsepower 10% to 20%.

Naturally Aspirated Engines (860-20002)
With naturally aspirated applications, injection comes on at a preset vacuum and immediately begins cooling & condensing the intake charge and suppressing detonation. Tuning for this more effective octane and allowing for such high compression typically improves horsepower 5% to 10%.

High-Compression Naturally Aspirated Engines (860-20011, 860-20020)
860-20011's injection comes on at a preset MAF voltage and increases as airflow increases until maximum flow is reached. 860-20020's injection comes on at a preset vacuum and increases as vacuum decreases until atmospheric or selected vacuum is reached. Tuning for this more effective octane and allowing for such high compression typically improves horsepower 5% to 20%.

1994-Up GM Engines with Mass Airflow (860-20012)
860-20012 includes a variable controller that reads the GM MAF sensor's frequency output to the PCM and adjusts the amount to be injected accordingly. Because the correct quantity is injected at all engine loads, power & drivability are vastly improved compared to typical on-off systems. The injection curve can be optimized for each application (controller can be dash-mounted for adjustments while driving).
